In our new expert-level game, we’re taking you to Iceland: You’ll lead an exciting reforestation research project. To do so, you’ll need to effectively manage your own settlement next to the growing forest: Plant cabbage and tomatoes, and raise sheep and Icelandic horses. Invest in research and launch promising projects. Find the best way to balance agriculture with forest growth.

Preorder
You can now pre-order Northgreen from us! It will be available at SPIEL 2026 in Essen (for pickup at our booth 4 J 500).
How does it work? Just send us a quick email (info@gamebuilders.de) with your pre-order request. We’ll then send you an invoice. Once you pay the invoice, your pre-order will be confirmed. The game components are language-independent, with the exception of the 120 german project cards. You can also pre-order these cards in English from us as an add-on. Note: There is no english rulebook in the box, but you can download the english rules from this site.

What’s in the box
Mainboard: As the game progresses, you continue to expand your research settlement and promote the growth of the forest. Regular deliveries from outside and advancing along the community track (the one with the pretty hearts) help you do this.
Player board: From your desk, you manage your settlement and conduct research.
Landscape at an advanced stage: You let your landscape grow both in width and height, build new houses, plant tomatoes and cabbage, and take care of sheep and Icelandic horses.
Forest board: What starts out as just a sapling grows into a new forest as the game progresses.
In every game, the more than 100 different project cards (here with german text) open up new possibilities—so it never gets boring!
